Andrew has been playing music for over ten years and instructing locally for the last five. He is currently enrolled at Wayne State University full-time as a Music Major with a focus in Jazz studies. He has been playing rock, jazz, funk, experimental and jam-bands for several years and has extensive experience performing live and recording. He has also been very active hosting local open-mic nights to help improve the music scene in the Waterford / Pontiac area. He is currently performing with the Jazz Quartet Shades of Gray as well as his Solo project, The Entertainer, around the Metro Detroit area. Andrew's teaching methods are very individual-based with a strong focus on the student's approach to the instrument and overall goals. He is confortable teaching most styles including rock, jazz, imprvisation, funk, blues, etc., as well as basic concepts in Music Theory and Composition.

Books & Materials Needed:
Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1 (recommended) or Mel Bay's Guitar Method Grade 1, a two-pocket folder to keep music in, and staff paper (optional).
