Katherine will receive her Bachelors of Music in Clarinet Performance and Instrumental Music Education in fall 2008 from Oakland University. Katherine is very active in the following groups at OU: Wind Symphony, Pontiac-Oakland Symphony, Clarient Ensemble, Flute Choir (student conductor,) Steel Band, and Chamber Ensembles. She was the co-winner of the 2007 OU Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition and a finalist in the 2005 David Daniel's Young Artists Competition.
Katherine has played woodwinds professionally in the Detroit Metro Area for over twenty different musical theatre productions. Favorite musicals include: "The Music Man," for stagecrafters, "Do Patent LEather Shoes Really Reflect Up?" for Avon Players, and "Urinetown," for the Oakland University Theatre Department. After graduation, Katherine hopes to continue teaching clarinet and saxophone privately and music in public schools.

Hobbies/Interests
Cats (I have three named Charlie, Carson, and Conan,) conducting, reading, and learning how to play new woodwind instruments.
