Matthew Adler began playing Tuba as a fluke in 6th grade to avoid a fellow classmate and hasn't looked back since. Where some people perceive the tuba as an obtrusive "oom-pha" hunk of metal, Matt sees the beautiful melodic abilities that can be accomplished. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University's Music Performance Department, Matthew has studied with such phenomenal tubists as Marty Erickson, and Gene Pokorny from the Chicago Symphony and Detroit Symphony Tubist Wesley Jacobs as well as Euphoniumist Matt Tropman and Neal Corwell.
Matthew is the principal tubist for the Royal Oak Symphony, Oakland Brass Band, and the New Vintage Brass Ensemble.
