After four years in the Honolulu jazz scene, Detroit native Ryan Enderle returned to Motown as one of the city's top instrumentalists. Ryan's superb training and wide variety or musical influences have made this groove-oriented player a key ingredient in the Detroit jazz scene.
Ryan began guitar lessons in middle school, and added bass in high school. He later received talent scholarships to attend the Jazz Studies Program at Wayne State University in Detroit, where he studied bass with Detroit legend Dan Pliskow. Ryan completed the majority of his degree before enlisting as a musician in the United States Marine Corps in 2002. After four years of service in the USMC Jazz Ensemble and active freelancing in Honolulu, Enderle returned to Wayne State to complete his studies with Dan Pliskow and Detroit Symphony Orchestra principal bassist, Maxim Janowski.
Enderle has been mentored by some of the finest living jazz legends, including John Clayton, Rodney Whittaker, Francois Rabbath, Ben Wolfe, Branford Marsalis, and Ali Jackson.
Ryan performs regularly at Cliff Bell's, Bert's Jazz Marketplace, Baker's Keyboard Lounge, Music Hall Jazz Cafe, Arturo's, Sweet Georgia Brown, CJ's Brewing Company, the Grind, Andiamo Italia, Rooster Tail, La Dolce Vida, and the Detroit Marriot Hotel. Ryan's jazz ensembles perform frequently at private events, including upscale wedding receptions, cocktail hours, and corporate functions.
