A local music instructor and live performer since 1970. Her latest CD, “Leaving Home” has received generous airplay on folk music stations throughout the U.S. and was nominated for two Detroit Music Awards in 2008. She was a finalist in the 2008 Great Lakes Songwriting Contestand received "Honerable Mention" in the 2009 results. Judy is a member of Southeast Michigan’s Songwriters Anonymous collective. Currently, she can be found performing at various local acoustic music venues as a soloist, duoist, or as the leader of a contemporary acoustic/folk trio dubbed “Judy Insley and Almost Perfect.”
Hobbies/Interests
Swimming with dolphins; animals and nature in general; reading and exercising.
