Kelly Pierce uses her experience in special education to modify classical training into an enjoyable and confidence building experience. She is currently studying special education and music education at Wayne State University and has also studied Music Therapy at Michigan State University. Before she joined McCourt's, she taught piano and general music for the Detroit Public Schools.
Throughout her primary and high school years she earned ten level one ribbons from District and State Solo and Ensembles. She has performed with the Royal Oak and Grosse Pointe Symphonies. Currently, she performs regularly at weddings and has also taken an interest in jazz playing electric violin with the Cuban orchestra Grupo Escobar.
Hobbies/Interests
Kelly loves music and people. She also enjoys cooking, entertaining, vegetable gardening, and camping/exploring off the beaten path with her family.
