Mona has been teaching piano for 12 years. She is an organist and keyboardist at St. Trinity Lutheran Church in Clarkston. Since her teens, Mona has been playing in churches and for choirs. She studied classical music through the Sherwood Music School in Chicago, IL with a school-trained teacher, and has also taught in lower elementary public school herself.

Hobbies / Interests
I have a 13 yr.-old cat named curiosity. She sleeps alot an loves to listen to my music. I enjoy decorating my home; and I try to garden as I love flowers. I like to knit, sew, and do counted cross-stitch. My current interest is scrapbooking. I am trying to get many years of photos gathered and into 'beautiful' memory books.

Philosophy
"I love working with children and watching them grow. It is my goal to pass on my love for music, to prepare my students to use this knowledge in their everyday life, and to be able to play for their own enjoyment as well as for others to enjoy their musical accomplishments.
