Cello, Beginning-Middle School Violin & Viola – Waterford – $30 per half hour

Anna is a string educator and private cello instructor. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Music Education and Cello Performance, where she was a student of Jerome M. Jelinek.  While at U-M, Anna was chosen to play for cellist, Yo-Yo Ma.  Wishing to continue her growth as a cellist, she received a second Master of Arts degree from Eastern Michigan University in Cello Performance, where she studied with Dr. Diane L. Winder. She is a retired strings, orchestra and vocal music instructor in the Royal Oak School District. She has a K-12 Teaching Certificate, and has taught many disciplines of music across all grade levels in the Royal Oak School District.

Anna is currently taking cello students of all levels – beginning to the college concerto level. Space permitting, she is also available to teach violin and viola at the beginning through middle school levels.


Anna enjoys reading exercising, cooking and practicing cello, violin, viola and piano.  She is especially passionate about teaching and performing.
