Ian Herbon has earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Eastern Michigan University (2013).  During his time at EMU, Ian played in both large and small ensembles, as well as the marching band. Ian continued his study of music and went on to attend Ithaca College and earned a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance (2015).  When studying at Ithaca College, Ian was awarded the saxophone graduate assistantship, which allowed him to gain collegiate education experience. Ian devoted his time to constant practicing and teaching undergraduate students in the area of woodwind performance.  He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and skills with young musicians to help them achieve their musical aspirations.

Hobbies/Interests

Ian’s hobbies include spending time with his wife and dog, and playing hockey in the winter.  He enjoys playing a variety of other instruments including electric bass, and guitar. His musical tastes range from classical to rock, folk, and the great highland bagpipes.
