Kendra Peterson

Kendra Peterson has been successfully teaching music in public schools for the past 14 years. She started in Morenci, MI, then Riverside, CA, and has been teaching in Bloomfield Hills for the past 9 years. For the first 9 years of her career, Kendra taught first and second year students flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, trombone and baritone.  She is currently the Director of Bands at Bloomfield Hills Middle School, teaching 5th-8th grades and assisting with the Bloomfield Hills High School Marching Band.

Kendra received a Bachelors in Music Education from Western Michigan University in 2005 and a Masters of Music from the American Band College at Sam Houston State University in 2012.  She has performed as Principal Flute with the Southeastern Michigan Wind Ensemble, Moreno Valley Wind Symphony, Corona Community Band, and various high school musicals.

Hobbies/Interests

Kendra likes to play with her two dogs, Bella and Runty,  and enjoys reading, bowling, photography, exploring Michigan, and being outside.
