Michele LaNoue is a clarinetist and teacher originally from the Houston area. She received a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance from Michigan State University and a Bachelors of Music in Clarinet Performance from Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music. A private instructor of clarinet since 2010, Michele has taught private lessons to students from top music programs all over Oakland County for the past seven years. She is also an active clarinet clinician, frequently working with schools throughout the Metro-Detroit and Flint areas. Michele joined the faculty of the Flint Institute of Music in September of 2017.

In addition to her teaching experience, Michele is also an active performer. Establishing an orchestral career throughout Michigan, she has performed with the Kalamazoo Symphony, Flint Symphony, Saginaw Bay Symphony, Jackson Symphony, and Lansing Symphony Orchestras. In June of 2018, Michele performed in Limonest, France as part of a collaborative commission project between the Flint Institute of Music and the Limonest Conservatory. She has also performed at the Vianden International Music Festival in Luxembourg, and the Orford Music Academy outside Montreal, Canada. In addition to performing chamber music, Michele also regularly performs with the Southeastern Michigan Wind Ensemble as their principal clarinetist. She resides in Royal Oak with her husband, Eric and dog, Bonnie.
