Dr. Liu's proficiency across various aspects of her field has paved the way for a multifaceted career, encompassing education and performances with esteemed organizations across the United States, Australia, and China, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Opera Australia and Pacific Symphony. She has a wide variety of performance experience and has participated in public and private masterclasses across China, the United States, Europe, and Australia, working with renowned musicians including Nelly Miricioiu, David Gowland, Matthew Barclay, and Martin Katz. Operatic hightlights include Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), First Lady (Die Zauberflöte), Micaëla (Carmen), etc. She has also been recognized in several prestigious competitions. 

For over a decade, Dr. Liu has shared her passion for music through teaching both voice and piano, as well as lyric diction, acting, and stage directing. She has taught students of diverse ages and levels, integrating music theory and aural skills into her teaching to build a strong musical foundation. She has also been invited to give masterclasses and serve as an adjudicator for music competitions. She taught at the University of Michigan and University of Missouri–St. Louis. She is currently on the faculty as an Instructor of Music at the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp.
